Tunisia's MYRATH To Release Debut In October
September 17, 2007MYRATH, a progressive metal band from Tunisia (founded in 2001 by guitarist Malek Ben Arbia),will release its debut album, "Hope", on October 22 via the French label Brennus Music. The CD was recorded, mixed and produced by Kevin Codfert (ADAGIO keybardist),who met the band on March 24, 2006 when MYRATH opened for ADAGIO and ROBERT PLANT at the third edition of the Mediterranean guitar festival.
According to a press release, MYRATH's music is "a combination of progressive, neoclassical, oriental, power and melodic [metal], which reflects their oriental origin and their western influence (SYMPHONY X, ADAGIO, RISING FORCE, etc.). The band's main focus in songwriting is to combine oriental music with progressive metal."
MYRATH's latest performance took place on August 17, 2007 at the Rades rock festival alongside FIREWIND, ADAGIO and AFTER FOREVER.
Commented keyboardist Elyes Bouchoucha: "We are from Tunisia and there are a huge mass of metal fans over here."
